Our first introduction to Bay Property Management was with the sales team - which was fantastic; Wynn helped us feel comfortable about the process and commitments from BPM. Our next stop was with the leasing team - which was also fantastic; Stephanie had both of our properties listed and rented within a week.
We were then transitioned to the property management team - which was actually pretty abysmal for the first 6 months. We went through 5 property managers in that time (not by our request - BPM was having turnover); there was little-to-no knowledge transfer between each of them, so any slice of progress we made with one was erased as we transitioned to the next. Issues were escalated to the property management team leadership multiple times; they would ask the property manager to send an email that they (team leadership) would follow up with "does that clear it up?" - so I guess they were trying, but no - things were not cleared up. For that period of time, the only "management" going on was by me, including flying back to Virginia to take care of things myself.
After that first 6 months, we sent BPM our intent to not-renew with them at the end of our 12 month contract. However, our latest property manager transition was to Gloria. Since that time, we've had no issues. Normal things have come up - lease renewals, tenant turnover, maintenance issues, etc. and she's taken care of all it - promptly and with clear, responsive communication. She's the only reason we rescinded our intent to not-renew and have continued on with BPM this year. Assuming all remains as is, we have every intent to continue renewing.
Response from the owner:Thank you, Megan, for sharing such candid and thoughtful feedback. We’re grateful that Gloria’s responsiveness, clear communication, and follow-through restored your confidence in our team and ultimately led you to continue with us. We appreciate your continued trust and are committed to providing the consistent service you deserve.
