Andrew brings deep operational expertise and strong leadership to our team, driving growth and ensuring the NOVA office runs smoothly and efficiently.
What Inspired Andrew to Pursue This Career?
Andrew was inspired to pursue this career path by the fast-paced challenges of property management and the opportunity to help people every day.
He joined BMG in September 2023 after seven years in on-site management, looking for a new way to grow professionally and challenge himself. The remote opportunity also gave him the chance to spend more time with the people he loves.
Before joining BMG, Andrew spent seven years working as an on-site Property Manager. Although he had little experience with rental property management at the time, the support and guidance of the NOVA team helped him grow in the role and develop into where he is today.
A Typical Day at BMG for Andrew Luciano
As an Assistant Director of Property Management, Andrew serves as the first line of support for Property Managers. His days consist of answering questions, helping keep the team organized, and ensuring tasks remain compliant and on track.
He also makes it a priority to support and encourage other property managers, ensuring they feel heard and recognized in what can often be a challenging and demanding role.
How Has Your Role Changed Since Starting at BMG?
Andrew’s role has changed in terms of what he manages. For instance, he used to manage condos and villages, which required handling all the aspects of the community. However, when it comes to rental management, it requires managing the home itself and ensuring everything is in tip-top shape.
What’s Most Satisfying or Motivating About the Job?
What Andrew finds most satisfying about working as an ADPM is seeing our property managers shine both as a team and individually.
What Makes BMG’s Workplace Unique?
Andrew thinks that what makes BMG’s workplace so unique is the culture. He says,
“I’ve been working for more than a decade, and I will say, without hesitation, that this is the best company that I’ve ever worked in. Everybody gave me a very warm welcome on my first day, and that vibe never changed. Everyone is so helpful and fun to work with. It makes the job a lot lighter.”
What Helps You Succeed in Property Management?
Andrew believes success in property management comes down more to virtues than skills, since skills can be taught. He says patience, diligence, temperance, persistence, and always giving your best are the qualities that matter most. As his motto says,
“If you work in the spirit of excellence and integrity, you don’t have to worry.”
What Impact Does Andrew Want to Make?
In the long term, he hopes to be known as someone reliable, excellent, and always ready to be there when people need him.
Getting to Know Him Outside the Office
We love getting to know the people behind the work, so we asked Andrew some questions to learn more about his personal life.
Do you have a hidden talent or hobby you enjoy outside of work?
“I LOVE riding my bike (a Harley). I’m a member of an international motorcycle club. I also love cooking, I do boxing, and I play the drums.”
Tell us something off your bucket list and what it means to you.
“Diving. I think it would take away my fear of deep waters.”
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you want to meet and why?
“I want to meet my grandfather, who passed away in 2020. I want to show him how his favorite grandson has gotten this far.”
If you could be known for one thing, what would you want it to be?
“I want to be known as someone who gives his best in the things he does.”
